For over 20 years, ArcticNet has helped develop knowledge and expertise required to document and address Northern change. This renowned award honors individuals who have made significant contributions to Canada, across diverse fields from the local community to the global stage. Joint Funding Initiative with SAGES
Erica.Baird2024-06-03T09:36:52-04:00In early 2024, ArcticNet and the Scottish Alliance for Geoscience, Environment and Society (SAGES) partnered to launch a joint fund to foster international collaborative work between both ArcticNet and SAGES colleagues. The fund supports research expenses such as field work, equipment, workshops, and more. Two ArcticNet researchers were able to benefit from the joint-initiative. First, Dr. Luke Copland, University of Ottawa (ArcticNet), will collaborate with Dr. Anna Crawford, University of Stirling (SAGES), to have a more comprehensive understanding of Arctic ice hazard populations and their risks to shipping.
