Funding for translation of abstracts
ArcticNet is pleased to offer funding to translate abstracts of a thesis or other publication from English or French to an Indigenous language spoken in Canada. Translating your research abstract can serve not only to enhance the accessibility of your research results; it can also be a sign of respect to the people from the communities where the research took place, and a way to recognize and acknowledge the importance of Indigenous languages for cultural continuity and Indigenous identity.
This funding opportunity is for research conducted in the Canadian North. To apply, please complete and submit this online form. Abstracts must be written in plain language (free of technical terms, acronyms, and jargon), and can be a maximum of 200 words. Applications are reviewed and accepted on a rolling basis, contingent on available funding. Please allow ample time for your application to be processed. If you have any questions about this opportunity, please contact melody.lynch@arcticnet.ulaval.ca.
