ASM2013

ArcticNet’s 9th Annual Scientific Meeting, ASM2013, was successfully held from 09 to 13 December 2013 at the World Trade and Convention Centre, in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

With over 550 participants, the ASM2013 proved to be a dynamic networking event, providing an excellent opportunity for network investigators, post-doctoral fellows, graduate students, research staff, network partners from government, Inuit organizations and industry, as well as board and committee members to meet face to face and discuss the latest science developments from the North.

More than 200 oral presentations and 175 scientific posters from all fields of Arctic research were presented during the meeting, reflecting the tremendous research effort supported by ArcticNet and the multidisciplinary nature of the Network’s program.

Evidence of a promising future for Canadian Arctic research, 300 graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and researchers attended the eighth ArcticNet Student Day. Moreover, thirteen students were awarded prizes for the excellence of their posters and their research.

The ArcticNet Board of Directors, Research Management Committee and Administrative Centre would like to thank all the participants, sponsors and exhibitors for their contribution in making ASM2013 such a great success.
