ASM2012
ArcticNet’s latest Annual Scientific Meeting – ASM2012 – was successfully held from 10 to 14 December 2012 at the Westin Bayshore, in Vancouver, British Columbia.
With close to 500 participants, the ASM2012 proved to be a dynamic networking event, providing an excellent opportunity for network investigators, post-doctoral fellows, graduate students, research staff, network partners from governments, Inuit organizations and industry, as well as board and committee members to meet face to face in the light of the latest science.
More than 150 oral presentations and 150 scientific posters from all fields of Arctic research were presented during the meeting, reflecting the tremendous research effort supported by ArcticNet and the high level of multidisciplinarity of ArcticNet’s program.
Evidence of a promising future for Canadian Arctic research, more than 275 graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and researchers attended the seventh ArcticNet Student Day. Moreover, ten students were awarded prizes for the excellence of their posters and their work.
The ArcticNet Board of Directors, Research Management Committee and Administration Centre would like to thank all the participants, sponsors and exhibitors for their contribution in making ASM2012 such a great success.
