ASM2007
ArcticNet’s Fourth Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM2007) was held from 11 to 14 December 2007 at the Village at Blue Mountain Conference Centre in Collingwood, ON.
With close to 300 participants, the ASM2007 was a wonderful networking event, providing an excellent occasion for Network Investigators, Post-Doctoral fellows, Graduate Students, Research Staff, Network Partners, Board and Committee Members to meet face to face and present research results.
Over 50 oral presentations and 130 scientific posters from all fields of Arctic research were presented during the meeting, reflecting the high level of multidisciplinarity of ArcticNet research. Electronic copies of the ASM2007 proceedings and oral presentations are now available for download. Copies of posters will be available in early 2008.
Evidence of a promising future for Canadian Arctic Research, more than 110 graduate students and post-doctoral fellows attended the Third ArcticNet Student Day and the full meeting. Nine students were awarded prizes for the excellence of their posters and their work.
The ArcticNet Board of Directors, Research Management Committee and Administration Centre would like to thank all the participants, sponsors and exhibitors for their contribution in making this Fourth Annual Meeting such a great success.
