ASM2005

ArcticNet’s Second Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM2005) was held from 13 to 16 December 2005 at The Banff Centre in Banff, Alberta.

With over 275 participants, the ASM2005 was a wonderful networking event, providing an excellent occasion for Network Investigators, Post-Doctoral fellows, Graduate Students, Research Staff, Network Partners, Board and Committee Members to meet face-to-face, present research results and hold project and theme workshops.

Over 40 oral presentations and 150 scientific posters from all fields of Arctic research were presented during the meeting, reflecting the high level of multidisciplinarity of ArcticNet research. Evidence of a promising future for Canadian Arctic Research, more than 120 ArcticNet graduate students and post-docs attended the First ArcticNet Student Day and the overall Annual meeting. Four students were awarded cash prizes for the excellence of their posters and their work.

The ArcticNet Board of Directors, Research Management Committee and Administration Centre would like to thank all the participants for their contribution in making this second Annual Meeting such a great success.
