ArcticNet and Luminary sign MoU

ArcticNet is pleased to announce this partnership of many to further Arctic science: We have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Luminary: Indigenous Works. This MoU between ArcticNet and Luminary will promote northern research and culture while supporting the exchange of knowledge and fostering the creation of synergies in Arctic research between researchers, institutions, communities, governments, and the private sector. Working collaboratively, we will identify opportunities to mobilize new research knowledge into new innovation collaborations with a focus on commercial products and processes. 

The MoU was signed on September 13th, 2022.

About Luminary

Luminary is the name that Indigenous Works has given their new national initiative to design and implement an Indigenous innovation strategy and plan leading to economic transformation, jobs and wellbeing.  Luminary Charter Partners include over 80 business schools, universities and colleges, 50+ Indigenous businesses, and 20+ NGOs and mainstream businesses. In 2021, the partners co-created the Luminary Strategy to address barriers, grow Indigenous research talent, build innovation collaborations and co-design the Indigenous business research and innovation ecosystem with a particular focus on engaging business and management schools.
