ArcticNet and ACUNS sign MOU
ArcticNet and ACUNS sign MOU
ArcticNet is pleased to announce the first partnership of many to further Arctic science: We have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Association of Canadian Universities for Northern Studies (ACUNS). This MoU will encourage the exchange of knowledge and foster the creation of synergies in Arctic research between schools, facilities, researchers, and nations. We aim to mutually help each other in creating skill building opportunities for graduate students involved in northern studies.
The MoU was signed on March 23rd, 2022.
“We are excited to commit to working more closely with ACUNS, with the hope offering even more opportunities for our Early-Career researchers. The joint conference day at the ASM2022 is a great example of what we can achieve together!” – Christine Barnard, ArcticNet Executive Director
“We are delighted that the ACUNS Student Conference on Northern Studies will now be an annual event. It’s such a unique opportunity for young researchers to meet and exchange ideas with others who share similar academic interests and holding it in conjunction with the distinguished ArcticNet Annual Scientific Meeting will yield countless benefits for students and early-career northern researchers.” – Jeanette Doucet, ACUNS Executive Director
