I am an interdisciplinary social scientist with experience in community-based participatory research. My Master’s thesis, Indigenous Knowledge of Human-polar Bear Coexistence in Churchill, Manitoba, was awarded distinction by Royal Roads University and received a Knowledge Braiders Award from Braiding Knowledges Canada. As a PhD student with Carleton University and Environment and Climate Change Canada, my research will explore Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit (Inuit traditional knowledge) of eider ducks with the community of Kinngait, Nunavut. Originally from Montana, and now based in Iqaluit, NU, I most recently find joy exploring frozen lakes on backcountry ice skates and having solo living room dance parties in my vanilla leopard overalls.
